Types of physcial truama

Brain trauma

Brain trauma, or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), happens when an external force injures the brain. This can range from a mild concussion to severe brain damage caused by accidents, falls, sports injuries, or blasts.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a powerful tool in supporting recovery from brain trauma by delivering oxygen to damaged brain tissue, reducing swelling, and inducing tissue healing.

Muscle Trauma

What is Muscle trauma?  Muscle trauma is an injury or damage to muscle tissue, typically caused by physical stress, strain, or direct impact. It can range from mild soreness to severe tears or internal bleeding.

Muscle trauma is a soft tissue injury caused by strain, impact, overuse, or accidents. It may lead to pain, swelling, bruising, or weakness. Treatment ranges from rest and physical therapy to surgery. This type of injury can benefit from HBOT with 100% oxygen with rapid reduction of inflammation and a shorter healing time.

⚠️ Common Symptoms

  • Sudden sharp pain
  • Swelling or inflammation
  • Bruising (discoloration under the skin)
  • Weakness in the muscles
  • Limited range of motion
  • Muscle spasms or cramping

Bone trauma

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy induces healing in the bones by saturating the bone and surrounding tissues in 100% oxygen, thereby reducing inflammation and stimulating the formation of new blood vessels and stem cells to heal and bond itself.

What Is Bone Physical Trauma?

Bone trauma refers to injuries affecting the bones, including:

Soft Tissue trauma

When doctor treating a patient

Soft tissue trauma refers to injuries involving the muscles, ligaments, tendons, skin, fat, and other connective tissues, excluding bones and internal organs. It commonly results from blunt force, overuse, or penetrating injuries.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is an effective treatment for soft tissue trauma, especially when tissue oxygenation is compromised or healing is delayed.
